    Today museums must compete for attention with the modern distractions of our wired culture. The Natural History Museum of Utah engages audiences through its unusual setting on the ancient Bonneville shoreline.   The museum extends its reach out into nature, giving patrons a direct experience of the region's geology, ecology, wildlife, habitat, and other natural processes. The landscape interpretation of the site required careful and sensitive intervention in order to reveal and dramatize the area's natural mysteries. The narrative draws people through the landscape, varying the experience from the intimate and personal to the social and educational.
